Job Description
This position will be an integral part of the Leasing Services Operations team, managing the lease portfolio. This position will interact closely with multiple business units and functions. The Analyst is responsible for analyzing lease contracts, purchase orders, and all other related paperwork to ensure information is accurate, compliant with legal requirements and within Baxter's financial thresh holds. This includes a thorough analysis of financial profitability to ensure all proper financial and accounting treatments are considered when booking the lease. This position is also responsible for accurate sales reporting for commission purposes and for timely and accurate communications with multifunctional areas of Baxter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Review all lease contracts, as they pertain to direct and GPO affiliated customers to ensure they are consistent with their disposable contract requirements, from a pricing, incentive, compliance and account affiliation perspective.
•Contract analysis; review lease contract and supporting documentation to ensure it meets financial (FASB-13), and revenue recognition requirements.
•Financial analysis; review and complete financial workup required to process a lease.
•Coordinate the hardware bid process with Sales and Marketing teams ensuring submission timelines are met.
•Ensure all entries of sales revenue are aligned with current sales promotions and guidelines. Maintain active and open communication with Business Operations management and Sales management to address inaccurate revenue recognition and sales reporting.
•System updates; process required updates in LeasePak, LeasePrice and JD Edwards to establish lease and generate divisional sales.
•Manage assigned territories for multiple sales forces and business units to process all leases, lease addendums and purchases. Act as liaison between the Sales Forces, Business Operations and Legal.
•Work closely with Legal and Business Operations to ensure all Lease documents are processed in accordance with corporate objectives as they relate to the reduction of risk for Medicaid Fraud and Abuse issues.
•Ensure on-going communications across departments to address process gaps and ensure milestones and functional contributions are delivered.
•Ensure compliance to S-Ox requirements.
Job Requirements
Strong analytical, problem solving, mathematical, time management and communication (written and verbal) skills required. Understand basic accounting and financial concepts and principles, including NPV, discounted cash flow and revenue recognition. Performs well under pressure and is able to organize workload and prioritize tasks. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge the status quo to create and document continuous process improvements. Demonstrated abilities using Baxter systems: JD Edwards, (knowledge of pricing, contracting, order management and other JDE functionality a plus), LeasePak and Siebel. Microsoft applications: Access and Excel. Must understand the use and impact of systems and system interfaces, as well as the flow of transactions through the organization.
A Bachelors of Science degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent of 3+ years experience in related field preferred.
