The Sales Engineeris responsible for pre-sales and post-sales technical activities in support of the channel partners for the Seattle area.
Activities include:partner training (technical & sales), customer training, pre/post sales technical presentations, product sales presentations and demonstrations, solution design assistance, RFP/RFI response support, technical training and competency assessment of new and existing partners and an escalation advocacy role for partners and customers for technical issues to drive resolution and assure customer satisfaction objectives are achieved.
The Sales Engineer needs to form a strong relationship and be a sales team with the Area Sales Manager in the territory to achieve assigned Revenue and Customer Satisfaction goals.
Qualifications: The best candidate should have strong working knowledge/experience in data environments including LANs, WANs, routing, switching, data circuits, QoS, Microsoft Windows servers (2003) and clients (XP & Vista) and Linux.
The best candidate should have strong working knowledge/experience in voice systems and technologies such as traditional TDM-based PBXs, IP-based PBXs, voice circuits & telco offerings and operations.
Ideal candidates will possess: . 3-5 years of relevant experience as a sales engineer, preferably in support of channel(s) . Experience selling emerging technology and evangelizing emerging markets is highly desired . Familiarity with the IP-Voice market and its competitive landscape are highly desired . Familiarity with the assigned territory is highly desirable
