Position Description: The SAP Procurement Business Analyst on the ERP project team will provide analysis, software design, implementation and support within the SAP Procure to Pay team. This business analyst role will be responsible for the functionality for global procurement and inbound logistics, including EDI, master data, BOMs, direct/indirect purchasing, MRP, goods receipts, inventory management and invoice verification. Responsibilities: * Identify business requirements and develop the ERP Global Blueprint within the areas of Procurement, MRP, Goods Receipts, Pricing, Invoice Verification, and other related processes * Provide SAP configuration expertise for all functionality in the MM module to support a global implementation of supply chain, including master data, pricing, EDI, FSCM, inventory management, invoice verification, and messages. * Leverage strong integration experience with SAP financials, controlling, sales order processing, as well as integration with 3rd party applications such as Logility (for supply planning), Manhattan WM, and Taxware. * Identify impacts to material master data in legacy systems, and develop migration plans to conform to the SAP AFS material master grid design * Design functional specifications for interfaces to other applications, custom EDI messages, userexits, reports, and other development objects. * Work with programmers to oversee completion and efficiency of development objects. * Develop and execute thorough unit and integration testing scenarios and documentation, using testing tools such as HP Quality Center and Mercury Interactive. * Supply adequate training/documentation information, using recording tools such as RWD and other templates required by the Training Team. * Participate in the development of training curricula and materials, as well as development of user acceptance testing plans.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: * 5 +years of IT experience required with at least three years of experience configuring SAP Materials Management functions that support global supply chain. * Ability to independently configure requisitions and purchase orders, vendor masters, material masters (preferably within the context of the SAP AFS grid), pricing, inventory management, MRP, and invoice verification in SAP is required. * Experience with 3rd party applications, such as Logility, Manhattan WM and Taxware desired * Experience as an MM configuration analyst on least one full cycle ERP implementation required
* Possess expert knowledge of sales order management business processes (including vendor master, material master, pricing, account determination, inventory management, MRP, EDI, vendor evaluation, goods receipts, invoice verification) and the technology that supports these processes. * Ability to design and configure an efficient SAP Procure to Pay solution to support a company with the order management and distribution complexities that are present in a global $1 billion enterprise. * Design efficient interfaces and master data schemas to support integration of Logility (for supply planning) with SAP purchase requisitions and purchase orders. * Ability to conceptualize and design functional solutions to enhance supply chain visibility of finished goods from suppliers through distribution centers * Possess strong integration understanding of the SAP modules that support Procure to Pay processes (SD, LE, FI, CO) * Expertise in SAP AFS functionality * Configuration of the MM module in complex submodules, including the following: material master using the IS-AFS grid, extensive pricing and terms, EDI, MRP, 3rd party processing/direct ship, messages, master data hierarchies, inventory management * Analytical troubleshooting of processes and SAP configuration, debugging when necessary * Ability to write clear documentation of process/system designs and user instructions * Ability to conduct one-on-one training to teammates and business users * Bachelor's Degree preferred with emphasis in business, supply chain management, information systems, or accounting, MBA preferred. 10+ years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
