Vangent is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D. Responsibilities This position will support the Census Paper Data Capture Center located at 4427 W. Buckeye Road in Phoenix. Census Paper Data Capture Center Production, as well as this position is expected to end on or before July 31 2010. This is a temporary position which will not provide benefits. Under the direction of the Site Facilities and Security Manager, this position is responsible for all contracted Security Officers. The Security Supervisor is further responsible for the enforcement of all policies and procedures published by the Site Facilities and Security Manager for the protection of Title 13 data, safety of employees and protection of government property. The position coordinates a wide range of security provided services, including but not limited to the following: - Issuing of employee¿s badges, parking passes, and office and building keys. - Security and fire alarm monitoring. - Inspection tours of building, office spaces, secured areas and parking lot surveillance. - Reporting and documenting any hazardous conditions requiring attention. - Visually checking to ensure that all persons entering the building have proper identification. - Escort services for transport of restricted data to and from off-site facilities. - Position may include periods of prolonged standing and/or walking, climbing a ladder, and working long and varying hours. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred in law enforcement/investigation or related field, or combination of education or on-the-job experience that would equal or exceed educational requirements. - Minimum 5 years of extensive background in protection/guard service in commercial facilities and/or large office buildings, achieved through hands-on and work related experiences - Minimum 3 years supervisory experience. - Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work with and relate to a very diverse and dynamic group of people with a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. - Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb a ladder. - Requires Suitability Determination Clearance, including fingerprinting.
