Category :Engineering Job Description : The Engineering Science Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA), a contract organization located at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, is seeking a senior Chemical Engineer to lead efforts to develop a thermo-chemical process to efficiently convert biomass, especially algae, into useful energy. In addition, the chosen candidate is expected to possess a wide knowledge and maintain a broad research base in other areas of alternative energy processes (i.e. waste to energy, solar, wind, ocean energy, etc.).
The successful candidate must: * have an advanced degree, (M.S. or PhD) preferably in Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, with previous experience in energy related processes. * be able to demonstrate project leadership and technical qualifications, including technical writing, for the position. * preferably hold an earned PhD and be able to present an established body of work in energy related areas, with an emphasis on alternative energy. ARA offers a highly competitive compensation. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position. ARA is an EEO/AA employer.
