Title Senior Cost Accountant Requirements Qualified Candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting - MBA and/or CMA a plus - 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment - Experienced in financial analysis, financial closing, and cost accounting - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word - Experience using Cognos a plus - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Sound planning and organizational skills Function A Leading Manufacturing Company located in Somerset County, New Jersey has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Cost Accountant who will be responsible for the following: Duties - Prepare monthly Cost of Goods Sold financial statements - Reconcile and maintain schedules of monthly purchases and related charges - Assist in preparation of annual operating budget - Record and reconcile Cost of Goods Sold - Assist with monthly quarterly financial analysis for management and corporate - Prepare journal entries and reconcile various balance sheet and expense accounts - Assist with annual internal and external audit - Maintain warehouse and in-transit inventory reports Prepare daily inventory status reports - Assist in monthly closing and reporting - Conduct analysis identifying and explaining variances vs. budgeted performance - Maintain standard costs - Analyze and explain variances - Assist controller with special projects LOCATION Job Location New Jersey Relocation COMPENSATION Pay 70,000-75,000 Type Permanent Duration OTHER Comments If you are interested in this excellent opportunity (and/or others similar to it) please forward your resume to and/or call us at .
