Position Summary:

Performs a variety of complex technical office and field duties
related to the design of gas operations and gas facilities necessary
to supply or maintain the required level of energy service delivery
within a distribution area.
Duties of this position include:
* Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and/or provide technical
support to various operations equipment and processes.
* Assist with layout and design engineering work for
construction, repairs and/or site modifications.
* Maintain informational databases, records, general data
archives and/or files using technical software as applicable.
* Perform field work such as, measuring accurately with tape or
wheel, taking basic field notes, driving locating stakes, minor
right-of-way clearing & other similar tasks.
* Provide administrative assistance and/or technical advice
related to field work needs, such as (but not limited to) permits,
database entries, materials requests, map plotting, applications, gas
availability, etc.
* Respond, with guidance, to calls from field crews, customers,
external groups, etc. requiring gas operations information.
* Prepare cost estimates and determine cost-effective methods
of project completion.
* Ensure compliance to company, federal and state codes.
* Actively participate in safety and training activities and/or
equipment use and repairs.
* Participate in audits, meetings, briefings, etc. with
internal and external individuals or groups.

Requirements

Successful candidates will possess the following knowledge and
skills:
* Knowledge of applicable policies (including SOPs), practices,
and procedures related to particular discipline.
* Solid computer and database skills, e.g, Microsoft software,
databases, SAP, and related systems.
* Strong attention-to-detail and information management skills;
well-organized, quick learner.
* Good verbal and written communications skills and able to
build relationships.
* Has initiative and able to function independently.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
required.
* Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for
preferred education.
* Valid driver's license and ability to drive Company Vehicles.
***This position is considered a covered function regulated by 49
CFR Parts 192 (the pipeline safety rules), and is subject to random
drug and alcohol testing.
