JOB DESCRIPTION
DIRECT HIRE POSITION
The Senior Director, Web Center, is responsible for providing leadership for strategy, planning, design, technology and implementation across all web properties for The Company, including the public website (The ), the employee, physician and patient portals, as well as social media platforms, mobile applications and other extensions of The Company' web presence. Leads the conceptualization, development, execution and management of The Company web strategy, based on the organization's strategic planning initiatives. Advises The Company senior leadership and management in the adoption and implementation of such strategies. Provides the leadership, vision and direction for Web-based activities, ensuring support of the organization’s mission, vision and values and is responsible for planning, developing and directing the deployment of web services. This includes integrating new technologies with legacy IS clinical and business applications to support the web-based business and clinical transactions for all web users and audiences (patients, employees, physicians, donors and the general public). Understanding of the Meaningful Use web requirements under health care reform and have responsibility for ensuring that The Company meets these requirements.
Provide overall management and leadership of operational, financial and human resource activities of the Web Center, including vendors and other outsourced resources. Responsible for providing guidance and direction to the directors and managers in the daily operations of the department. This position plans and directs the activities of a team of web architects, developers, designers, administrators, content specialists, and others who work closely with end users in defining customer requirements, designing and building web sites, and implementing web-empowered business application systems. Will direct and ensure the appropriate allocation of finite resources within the department. Responsible for ensuring the continued implementation of a multidisciplinary development model and an advanced project methodology to ensure the cost effective deployment of web services. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring cross-organization collaboration of web services between all The Company departments and business units, primarily Information Services and Marketing CommunicationsThe Company IS and Marketing Communications departments. The role has a matrixed reporting accountability to the Corporate Vice President, Marketing Communications and Corporate Vice President, Information Services (CIO,) with senior executive oversight by the Corporate Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning and Administration. This position also is accountable to the The Company Web Steering Committee and works collaboratively under the guidance of the medical advisor to the web for web-based clinical applications and information. Working with the Corporate Vice President for Audit and Compliance, this position also ensures that The Company web properties are in compliance with all relevant The Company policies and procedures and meet the highest standards for privacy and security.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum Qualifications:8-10 years of progressively advancing web experience, 5-plus years of direct team management experience, 5-plus years previous health care experience. In-depth understanding of web technology and strategy, including web development, usability, content, legacy system integration, interactive marketing, search, and social media. Experience developing and maintaining web-based transactions for health care. Strong project management skills. Gifted abstract thinker with proven ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies. Deep understanding of HITECH reimbursement milestones and their implications on health care web strategy. Organization builder with ability to recruit, develop and motivate a strong team. Collaborative leader, with experience working across complex organizations to build the support needed to complete projects. Experience tracking, measuring and reporting the effectiveness of web function. Budget management experience, including experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendors. Ability to work within a matrixed reporting structure. Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree preferred.
