Job Description:

Summary
Overall coordination with outside payroll provider and maintain payroll records for the Company's 45 offices throughout the United States. Responsible for accounting related to fixed assets, leased equipment and facilities, cash management, debt monitoring and business insurance.
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Processes payroll information for all employees, including newly hired workers and terminated workers.
2. Records, or directs recording of, new or changed pay rates and tax withholding in computer files.
3. Directs computation of pay according to company policy.
4. Coordinates and remits employee garnishments to government agencies.
5. Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
6. Coordinates preparation of government reports with outside payroll service.
7. Reviews payroll reports to ensure accuracy and maintains payroll records and reports.
8. Coordinates with an outside payroll service.
9. Records data concerning transfer of employees between offices.
10. Processes pay as required to recognize bonus, insurance deductions, 401k deductions, and other payroll deductions as approved by employee and/or supervisor.
11. Maintains employee moving expense spreadsheet and processing of both taxable and non-taxable payments.
12. Files various workers' compensation reports with state agencies and coordinates worker's compensation audits.
13. Coordinates and responds to tax notices with outside payroll vendor.
14. Protects operations by keeping employee and financial information confidential.
15. Maintains personal mileage on company vehicles and processes taxable income to employee as required.
16. Reconciliation of various payroll related general ledger accounts.
17. Maintain all fixed asset records and leased asset records, including calculating monthly depreciation.
18. Oversee capital expenditure processing and assist in preparing annual capital budget.
19. Coordinate annual insurance renewals.
20. Perform daily cash management duties including cash reporting, transmitting check issue files, transmitting direct deposit files and downloading check paid files.
21. Prepare cash flow projections and monthly statement of cash flows.
22. Prepare miscellaneous sales, property, gross receipts, and other tax reports.
23. Prepare annual firmwide professional license renewals.
24. Assist in external audits (financial statement, overhead rate and employee benefit plans) as needed.
25. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in Ceridian Payroll Systems a plus.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, plus 3 years experience in payroll/accounting areas. Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
