Overview:
Our client is looking for either a long term consultant or full time direct hire for their Global Strategy and Initiative team. This team is responsible for driving tactical and strategic initiatives for the Futures Operations group. Initiatives such as:

- Business process re-engineering

- Straight through processing implementations and enhancements

- Risk and control implementations and enhancements

- Exchange and Regulatory mandates


The Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through delivery. This includes business requirements gathering, documentation, scheduling, resource leveling, test strategy planning and execution, risk analysis, issue management, status reporting, and deployment planning.

This role will report to the Futures Project Team manager.


Responsibilities:
Manage projects from initiation through delivery. Manage business analysts in project execution.

- Generate project plans, test plans, test scripts, and related documentation required to successfully manage and track projects.

- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

- Facilitate project related meetings.

- Monitor and report project progress.

- Manage and track project issues and risks.

- Ensure all project related documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

- Perform analysis to understand and document clear, concise business requirements.

- Manage relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.


Qualifications:
7+ years experience as a Project Manager/Business Analyst.

- Understanding of the Futures Industry.

- Ability to work independently.

- History of success working in a team environment.

- Well developed communication skills, both written and oral.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Project.

- Experience in business process analysis, work flow analysis and documentation, project tracking and reporting required.

- Experience in IT budgeting/accounting is desirable.

- Experience in futures and/or OTC operations is desirable.

- Knowledge of Sungard's GMI back office system is desirable.

Skills:

- MS Office(Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)

- MS Project

- GMI application knowledge is desirable.
