Job Description
The Sr. Project Manager plays a strategic role by working with business leaders, product development staff, and IT executives to define and direct the delivery of IT solutions that address complex business requirements. The projects will be defined, guided, and measured by business requirements including revenue growth and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
* Ownership for the direction and delivery of strategic IT solutions that address complex business requirements and impact revenue-generating activities and operational efficiencies * Understand the business unit strategic direction and ensure that project features and functions are implemented to conform to stated strategies and business needs; identify and assess risks to the successful completion of the project * Leverage expertise to develop and present appropriate IT solutions to identified business requirements * Successfully direct implementation and practice improvement initiatives championed within STG throughout project team * Contribute to the evaluation of staff following project completion, identifying strengths and areas for development as feedback to staff management * Responsible for delivery on all activities related to the project * Direct team, ensuring project is managed to established deadlines; identify people issues and take immediate corrective action * Direct development of project plans with milestones and dates for assigned projects * Develop and sustain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders in specific project area
Job Requirements
BS in IS, CS or related IT field At least five years experience in either application/software development or business analysis Five to seven years experience in a role that required project management skills Track record in proposing viable options and recommended solutions to address business problems and / or requirements Experience in working with technical personnel and with mid to high-level management Ability to work in agile and time boxed development environments Experience managing $1M+ technology projects Strong leadership and negotiation skills Strong conflict resolution and people management skills
