Position Overview:

The Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Senior Research Manager in San Francisco is responsible for managing and executing primary research deliverables to add value to Gerson Lehrman Group clients. Senior Research Managers help to drive GLG’s business model, develop its client base, and their practice area’s industries through working closely with clients to fulfill their primary research needs. The TMT role requires previous experience in the TMT space. Those without Technology, Media or Telecom experience whether at an operating company, investment firm or consulting firm need not apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Research Managers are responsible for driving Gerson Lehrman Group’s underlying business processes, fulfilling timely client research requests, including high-level product execution, and facilitating in-person interactions between GLG’s clients and Council Members:

* Fulfill time-sensitive research requests for GLG clients
* Exhibit strong business communication and client service skills
* Learn to leverage GLG’s platform and network to match thought leaders with clients, based upon the client’s research objectives
* Assist the TMT team with high-level service fulfillment by managing premium products
* Design and help deliver a world class regional events program for clients
* Demonstrate the ability to consistently network and recruit industry executives into the GLG Network
* Coordinate with cross-functional and international colleagues to develop product strategies
* Have the capacity to mentor and train new Research Management professionals (where needed)

Required Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree from a top-tieruniversity with a minimum GPA of 3.3 or greaterorequivalent work experience
* 4 to 6 years relevant industry experience or financial services experience
* Superior communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated oral, written and presentation abilities
* Successful track record working in complex multi-task oriented team environments
* Account Management Experience
* Experience Managing Others
* Attention to detail
* High Ethical Standards and a deep commitment to Compliance
