Senior Software Engineer - Telephony Server
Description Duties: Write back-end code for telephony framework and application services within large-scale object oriented and structured query language (SQL) Server 2005 database; design, develop and implement telephony applications using SQL, Java and C++; develop session initiation (SIP), voice over internet (VoIP), session description (SDP), real-time transport (RTP), transmission control (TCP) vs. user datagram (UDP), and interactive voice response (IVR) protocols; collaborate with product engineers, database architects and application engineers to define the interfaces across various application layers; define, design, implement solutions for high performance systems using web and other emerging technologies; develop prototypes rapidly for evaluation and validation purposes; document code and system designs; provide application support and systems maintenance; perform research, analysis and write reports.
Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science followed by five years of progressive experience designing, developing and implementing telephony applications using structured query language (SQL), Java and C++; developing session initiation (SIP) and voice over internet (VoIP) protocols.
