Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager (PM) are to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and are in accordance with the approved scope. In support of managing the triple constraints, the PM is responsible for improving the financial and quality results of the project through the development and application of best-in-class management methodology advocated by the Project Management Institute. The PM will work with the team to create, monitor, and influence project management artifacts used to manage the project. These artifacts include project management plans, schedules, risk tracker, resource allocation matrix, control account plan, change order tracker, earned value management and quality management for various projects that impact the work group or client(s). The PM will coordinate with other Project Managers on improving the overall methodology and reporting results within and across work groups.

Responsibility Areas

* Requirements Management
* Project Planning, Monitoring, & Reporting
* Prepare a detailed project plan/work breakdown structure that includes functional and activity decomposition matrix for all new projects and key milestones for each phase of the SDLC.
* Prepare complete project estimates and maintain the status.
* Help team in forward planning (forecasting) and capacity planning.
* Plan measures to track project progress and quality of work.
* Plan methods and procedures to manage changes to the scope of work.
* Forecast revenue, profitability, and utilization across projects.
* Perform a Risk Management analysis.
* Prepare all project reports and matrices to be presented to leadership and stakeholders.
* Review the Project/Issue status on periodical basis with stakeholders.
* Monitor User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on an ongoing basis for validity, impact, and closure of issues with Technical Leads.
* Review overall project status and ensure relevant teams are kept informed of changing plans and delivery issues.
* Take corrective action when team members fail to meet deadlines, remain within budget, or perform at the required standard.
* Track and monitor the project budget.
* Maintain and achieve the quality goals as defined in the project performance goals.
* Make appropriate business decisions regarding scope changes and adjust resources and deadlines accordingly.
* Participate in project prioritization meetings for the service.
* Report project prioritization status on an ongoing basis to leadership and stakeholders in order to plan work and staffing need.
* Participate in project staffing requirements meetings and ensure that the approach is consistent.
Communication
* Act as a single point of contact between multiple projects/one or more programs.
* Communicate regularly with development team, testing team, technical leads, delivery leads, delivery managers and other stakeholders about project status including development changes, scheduling, and quality goals.
* Communicate status of various projects to leadership.
* Act as a point of escalation for all pertinent projects.
* Develop and maintain relationship with clients and resolve issues, if any.
Posting Qualifications:

Formal Education & Certification:
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering/Computer Applications
* PMP Certified Program Manager Certification preferred
Knowledge & Experience:
* 10 years of work experience including: Experience in managing one or more projects having a team of at least 20 members.
* 7 years of experience working in a technology domain.
* Proficient in coaching others.
* Proficient with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Mastery of Systems Development Life Cycle Single or Multiple Service business knowledge.
* Strong HR/Payroll functional experience.
* Experience in implementing large HR solutions including PeopleSoft North America Payroll, Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS), or erience in implementing Time and Labor solutions preferred.
* Technical Skills Ability to work with team and drive toward results through barriers to achieve project goals and mitigate risk.
* Possesses sufficient knowledge of benefits outsourcing systems standard practices to drive optimal delivery model and solutions.
* Knowledge of SDLC processes to drive SDLC adherence and leverages those processes and project management tools to manage iterations effectively.
* Experience working with Microsoft office suite of products including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Excellent Microsoft Project knowledge and skills.
