The Weber ShandwickChicago officeis currently seeking aSenior Vice Presidentfor itsConsumer Practice. This is an opportunity to work on some of the most respected food and beverage accounts in the industry. A Senior Vice President plays a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of Weber Shandwick. The focus Senior Vice Presidents is largely on business development and a wider scope of responsibility in terms of managing account profitability and staff. They are responsible for managing senior level client relationships and have regular exposure to client senior management. The Senior Vice President manages client revenue between $3 and $5 million. The revenues are balanced against responsibility in terms of complexity, scope, geography and business development. The Senior Vice President is also accountable for collaborating between practice areas within the Weber Shandwick Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Keep client programs on schedule and ensure all deadlines are met * Develop and maintain extremely strong interpersonal relationships with senior clients * Serve as a primary contact for the client * Address any issues, trouble shoot problems and provide strategic counsel * Organize new business research and information gathering * Assess new business leads * Develop new business initiatives * Participate in new business pitch development and/or presentations * Responsible for developing media relations strategy and delivering results * Supervise all writing and editing * Edit work and provide direction to ensure quality control * Provide leadership, direction and guidance to account teams * Work with peers to further the mission, goals and culture of the agency * Conduct performance appraisal of direct reports * Attend account reviews and staff meetings - provide ongoing communications and feedback * Ensure that account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines Qualifications: * 12+ years professional related experience * Strong focus in food/nutrition * BA or BS in Business, Communications or related degree We offer a great workplace culture, competitive salary, healthcare, PTO, 401k, and more.
