The SVP of Operations will report directly to the CEO in the performance enhancement of a private-equity-owned, $100-million revenues, multi-plant, frozen food processing and packaging company. This person will be responsible for optimizing the costs, processes, and performance of existing facilities, and integrating future add-on facilities made through acquisitions. Equity position.
Main Responsibilities
Overall management and leadership of 3 manufacturing facilities in IL and WI
Serve as the day-to-day Plant Manager for any facility where there is a vacancy in leadership
Drive operational excellence in manufacturing, materials/resource planning & scheduling, raw material purchasing, logistics, inventory, and plant human capital
Must be hands-on and capable of expertly deploying Lean/OEE, strategic sourcing, and S&OP best practices
Establish performance enhancement goals and KPIs for quality, cost, efficiency, safety, delivery and customer satisfaction
Team with Finance to improve cost accounting metrics
Responsible for the development, training, and direction of 500+ multicultural employees
Experience and Qualifications
Prior experience in performance enhancement of manufacturing facilities, with a demonstrated and quantifiable track record of results
Food processing and packaging background
Demonstrated experience and accomplishments in operational efficiencies, cost reductions, continuous improvement, yield improvement, team building, performance management and strategic planning
Outstanding leadership and communication skills; this is a highly visible position within the company and its private-equity owners
Not an arm-chair quarterback ; must be hands-on and have the ability to drive both strategic and tactical improvements throughout all facets and levels of the organization
Bachelors degree in a technical or operations discipline
