The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the mechanics of SOA through the physical design of service-oriented technology architectures, service-oriented solutions, and related infrastructure. Must possess a solid understanding of the service-orientation design paradigm including all related design principles and the effects of their application and be able to leverage their knowledge of industry best practices, web services, and infrastructure to streamline deployment and support. Understands how service design fits into the overall SOA project delivery lifecycle including how design approaches and techniques may ultimately affect service governance.
Establishes and recommends changes to policies or processes that affect organization. Develops documented best-practices design based on the mix of SOA requirements and environment constraints. Works on complex problems and may determine methods and procedures to be used to design highly complex solutions. Participates in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of methodologies to ensure high quality deployments. Regularly interacts with management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
Performs system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system. Participates in software requirement review, preliminary and critical design, integration readiness review, and software acceptance review. Acts as technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal, and existing program efforts. Involvement in business development includes briefing customers on company capabilities. Supports program management office in technical role. Represents the organization as the prime customer contact on contracts or projects. May research the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines. May provide technical guidance to lower level software engineers. Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience. Apply for this job:
