Overview:
Software architect who can also manage multiple large scale software projects. New product development environment area, working closely with cross functional development groups during project/product development lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for defining and validating that the software architecture meets the system requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive product development and resource plans that minimize development time requirements. Mange the qualification of software development through all phases of the product development lifecycle. Provide effective team leadership and focus to meet project timelines and budget goals. Communicate issues and project status reports on a timely basis to senior management. Facilitate problem resolution and conduct risk analysis with cross-functional team to identify potential issues and develop mitigation plans to keep projects on schedule and on target. Manage internal and external resources (domestic and off-shore) across multiple sites to support development programs. Communicate issues and project status reports on a timely basis to senior management. Provide effective performance review input for team members.
Requirements:
Strong experience working with cross-functional teams in a product development environment. Strong experience with software and systems architecture. Experience with C++, C# or Java. Strong Object-Oriented Working knowledge of the Agile development methodology and exposure to Scrum. Experience managing multiple software projects and project teams, including off-shore resources. Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Development on both Windows and Linux platforms. Configuration and version control systems such as CVS, ClearCase or SourceSafe. Strong attention to detail and follow-through on outstanding issues and corrective actions.
