Under general direction, the Software Compliance Specialist ensures the firm s software usage is in compliance with the vendor s software licenses requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review new software products purchase requests to ensure the product meets the current and/or future business needs. Oversee and monitor the purchase lifecycle for software products to ensure proper entitlements and products are received according to the license requirements. Control all aspects of the software maintenance renewal process. Analyze, determine and negotiate incremental true up requirements. Resolve end user software problems/issues timely to avoid lost of production and/or interruption of service. Develop and perform self audits on the Firm s internal software records and usage to ensure ongoing compliancy effort and reduce risk for financial impact for non compliance. Research and recommend options to avoid unnecessary excessive costs and reduce the overall software costs for the Firm. Act as the software compliance subject matter expert and provide guidance and expert advice. Maintain software asset record database for licenses assigned to individual users. Ensure licenses purchased for specific roles are tracked to the department level, and reassigned as appropriate. Prepare, analyze and maintain budgetary trending for current and future budgets. Assist in reviewing the license agreements for metric clarity and accountability. KEY SUCCESS INDICATORS/ATTRIBUTES: Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers. Demonstrate leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and be detail oriented. Ability to analyze and problem solving. Ability to self-motivate and self-direct. Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Commitment and adherence to Firm s Core Values. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate s Degree and two years of experience working in IT software tracking and compliance or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of IT infrastructure and experience working with major software publishers required. Network inventory management and/or provisioning experience preferred. Kforce is an EEO/AA Employer.
