The purpose of this position is to provide support for critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of business systems. Responsibilities Include: * Be responsible for support of critical business functions through development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of business systems* Contribute software development expertise to multiple projects and ensure that specifications are met* Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document moderately complex software applications, features, and components* Follow established software development standards and procedures* Make recommendations for their improvement* Participate in peer code reviews* Document systems and code* Participate in peer reviews of technical documentation as required* Provide subject matter expertise in matters of systems, tools, and infrastructure capabilities and development processes for business systems analysts and business users* Exercise judgment to plan and accomplish goals* Perform other duties as assignedThe successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * A Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology* Sun or Oracle Java and/or Red Hat JBoss Developer Certifications will be helpful but are not required* 6 years of hands-on experience in Internet Application development* 6 years of expert knowledge of Object-Oriented design and architecture, Java design patterns, and RDBMS concepts* 6 years of experience with core Java and Java EE development* 4 years of advanced knowledge of EJB, Hibernate 3, JMS, JSF, and JBoss 4+* 4 years of experience developing for Oracle 10g/11g or equivalent* Applied knowledge of design and development methodologies* 2 years of experience with single sign-on and identity management systems; creating Technical Documentation Four or more of the following are required: * Experience with integration of application software and RDBMS* Experience with JBoss Rules and JBoss Portal* Experience with Configuration management, release management* Experience with XML and Web services* Working knowledge of application security concepts* Familiarity with CORBA and/or Java RMI The following skills are desired: * Experience with ERP, CRM and enterprise document management solutions* Experience with Oracle Access Manager, financial systems, PL/SQL* Knowledge of networking and system engineering concepts, clustered and high availability architectures, transition of IT functions between organizations, and virtualization
