Software Development Manager - Java/C++/SOA
Our client is seeking a dynamic and motivated hands-on manager of Java / C++ / SOA software development to lead our client's Web Group. You will have the opportunity to help build a brand new highly scalable, highly-reliable eCommerce services, Web applications, sites, and platforms.
Responsibilities for this role include performing the following duties: * Own the design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and delivery of secure large-scale customer-facing distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies * Provide technical leadership and project management for development teams in all aspects of the software development life cycle including hands-on software design, development, code reviews, and troubleshooting using Object Oriented design, Java, C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Web Services, and SQL * Build, manage, and develop a team of engineers; provide mentoring and manage resource allocation * Lead design reviews for engineers and drive feedback on architecture and design issues * Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business objectives and define technical direction * Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments * Work closely with the Engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach * Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management
