Seeking a Software Engineer who is a highly motivated self-starter capable of working with diverse teams and possesses strong multitasking abilities, good organization skills, excellent communication skills, and solid software development skills, and is extremely detail-oriented who has or can get a DoD secret clearance within 90 days of employment. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with and support several high profile teams who are developing testing tools used to evaluate Warfighter systems. The position requires close collaboration with software developers and supervisors to design and develop C#.NET components, an aptitude for designing unit-testing scenarios to exercise a .NET Framework application to simulate environmental and code failures, and the ability to develop highly technical software engineering documentation containing requirements decomposition, application/component designs, unit testing methods and steps, and internal software component documentation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to perform well under pressure on multiple high-priority tasks, able to deal with changing priorities within tight deadlines, very results oriented, able to follow, process, and analyze assigned tasks to create logically consistent and maintainable programs from general specifications, comfortable working in a small development group to produce quality products, and able to follow assigned tasks through to completion with limited supervision. Required Experience Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 2+ years of software development experience working in the .NET Development environment developing multi-threaded C# applications of medium or higher complexity Experience in object-oriented design principles, theories, and concepts using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) Demonstrated application of data structures principles, theories, and concepts Experience in graphical user interface development, principles, theories, and concepts Knowledge of relational database programming Intermediate Microsoft Office 2007 tool suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills Experience using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Experience using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Nice to have: Demonstrated XML/XSLT expertise Demonstrated Web (Http) and Windows Services design and development expertise An understanding of software architecture design patterns, principles, theories, and concepts Experience developing ASP applications utilizing the Model View Controller (MVC) methodology Knowledge of Tactical Data Systems (Link 16, Link 11, VMF, USMTF OTH-Gold) and/or Intelligence Data Systems (Common Message Format) Knowledge of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), and/or Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) Job LocationFort Huachuca, AZ USPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular
