Paylocity is seeking an experiencedSoftware Engineering Managerwho will work closely with the software development management team to improve all aspects of the product, development processes, and team. The Software Engineering Manager helps oversee the recruitment and training of our software engineers responsible for the development of our software applications. You must enjoy learning and providing training on new complex technologies. This individual may also help with the development of tools to help increase developer productivity.
The ideal Software Engineering Manager should be:

• Paylocity is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner developing its next generation web payroll, HR, time clock and Data Integration solutions using ASP.NET/C#/AJAX, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, BizTalk and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• We are developing our application with Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008
• We are a true software development department – no travel, casual dress code, game room to unwind in and you can work at home 2 days/week!
Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 - 7 years in a web software development environment
• Minimum 3-5 years managing software engineers
• Must have at least 3 years hands-on experience with ASP.NET/C#/AJAX, SQL (SQL Server), HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and Web Services
• ASP.NET MVC experience a big plus!
• Must be proficient in object-oriented design and development and unit-testing
• Should be familiar with Enterprise Architecture and developer tools
• Must be able to work effectively with the Product Managers and other team members to implement complete business solutions
• Must be effective and creative in problem solving
• Experience with Payroll, HR, Time & Attendance and Data Integration solutions a plus
