Software Engineering Manager

Company currently seeking a hands on technical Project Manager to oversees a group of software engineers involved in the design and development of radar and communication systems.
Responsibilities will include:
- Analyzes system requirements to perform hardware/software partitioning and cost tradeoffs.
- Analyzes software requirements to determine system level preliminary and detailed software design and implementations.
- Analyzes feasibility of design to ensure that it is within the constraints of timing, memory and machine utilization resources.
- Consults with Hardware Engineers and other Engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, and the operational and performance requirements of overall system.
- Formulates and designs software systems, including critical real time and/or embedded systems, using empirical methods, scientific analysis and/or mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequence of design.
- Develops software requirements and design documentation.
- Develops and conducts formal design reviews with the customer.
- Develops and directs software testing procedures, programming and documentation.
- Provides technical consultation with customer when required.
- Coordinates installation of software system.
- Provides Bid and Proposal technical and cost support for proposed software tasks.
- Interfaces with Software Quality Assurance and Configuration Management personnel.
- Provides technical guidance to subordinates
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, masters preferred, plus a minimum of 15 years related experience and/or training.
- Experience using Object Oriented Languages such as C++, MFC++, VB
- Knowledgeable in software debugging techniques, testing and data analysis.
- Ability to create top level and detailed software design using object oriented methodologies.
- Ability to derive software requirements.
- Knowledge of RADAR systems a plus.
- Must have a background that would permit the issuance of a Security clearance, which includes US citizenship.
