Title: Software Librarian Location: IA-Cedar Rapids PDS Tech is seeking a Software Librarian for an open position in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This position provides technical software release support to engineering for the rebuilding, archiving and releasing of software releases and related documentation in the Software Control Library.
POSITION: * Verify the Software Release build instructions provided by Engineering are accurate and complete. * Verify that the development software is released. * Compare Engineering executables with Library executables. * Prepare master disks for distribution. * Archive Source files, executables and tools into the Product Development Manager (PDM). * Process and archive Software Documentation Releases into the PDM. * Coordinate the Release Process with cross-functional groups. * Archive Snapshot Releases. * Archive Document Releases
ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED: * Posses general computer knowledge skills in the areas of operating systems, file handling and word processing * Have the ability to learn new computer-based development systems and to communicate effectively, both orally and written PREFERRED: * Experience with the Configuration Management Release Process or working with a PDM Tool.
