Sr. Machine Operator
Basic Function and Responsibility:
Understands operation of all machines used in the manufacturing area and has an excellent working knowledge of parts used in associated with batch production, such as equipment cleaning, running filling machines, etc.The senior group leader is responsible for producing acceptable product that meets internal standards, and is also in conformance with GMP and safety Standards
Work Performed:
Initiate the operation all filling machines, initiate weigh-ups, (manual and Valdata) and be proficient in the batching, milling, and batch transfers of product bulk.
Initiate Becomix production, including associated computer skills. ·
Operate all filling machines, assists in weigh-ups, (manual and Valdata) and assists in batching, milling, batch transfers and Becomix production assistance, as may be required.
Cleaning of all manufacturing equipment, rooms, tanks, etc.
Check product to make sure it is correct and of acceptable quality.
Report daily production and complete required forms and documents.
Responsible for area and machine cleanliness.
Able to perform all duties included in Manufacturing Operator, Senior Manufacturing Operator, Group Leader, and Senior Group Leader job descriptions.
Initiate the compounding of batches, including loading hot boxes, melters, and hot rooms.
Must have the ability to work under direct supervision of the departmental supervisor and manager.

Instruct Machine Operators, Senior Machine Operators and Group Leaders as directed by supervision.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Must be able to climb stairs, move pallets, and load melters.
Must be able to operate equipment 30" to 40" off floor.
Must be able to bend repeatedly and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to prepare batches and clean fillers ands rooms afterwards with no supervision.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to differentiate between different products.
Must have excellent knowledge of batching and coding system used, as well as proper labeling of product and containers.
Must be able to perform work in a safe manner and in accordance with GMPs, and company safety rules and regulations.
Must have an excellent working knowledge of all machines and all job responsibilities used in the Manufacturing area.
