Job Summary:
This is a Sr Manager or Director level position responsible for organizing and leading the Design Optimization area within the Manufacturing Systems Technology (MST) group. The candidate must be capable of, but not limited to, setting strategic direction in the area of both software infrastructure and applications, motivating and leading a team of managers and senior level individual contributors to deliver on value stream goals and objective, maintain financial responsibility for the organization, as well as establish and maintain close ties and alignment with all customer organizations. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a MST management team and be accountable for the successful business operation of all aspects of the Design Optimization team.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Work with business analysts, internal team members, and customers to deliver world class Design Optimization providing differentiating value for the end customer and sustained positive ROI for Globalfoundries. . Must be capable of creating a strategic vision for the organization and gather necessary support from stakeholders to ensure that vision can be delivered as planned. . Be responsible for ensuring that the organization is right-sized so that it may address the complexity, performance, and supportability need of the organization and its customers. . Create an organization that is extendable on a global scale. . Ensure that the Design Optimization Solutions organization is in compliance with corporate mandates within a global Quality and Configuration Management process and ensure solutions follows all business protocols. QA and CM Protocols. . Provide status updates to senior management on project, challenges and issues. . Demonstrates good leadership and teamwork skills, provides domain expertise as needed to assist with less-experienced team members. . This Job is based in Malta, NY and will require >25% travel . Position will be located at the Luther Forest site close to Saratoga Springs, NY.
Required Qualifications:
. Candidate must have a technology related bachelor's degree and a minimum of 20 years experience, or a Master's degree in a technology related field and a minimum of 15 years experience. .. Experience working with customers and demonstrated ability to foster positive long term customer relationships. .. >10 yrs Experience in Design Engineering as well as a thorough comprehension of the Semicoductor design for manufacturing and EDA space . Must have experience with all aspects of program management and software development life cycles. . Candidate must have experience negotiating contracts and service agreements internally and externally . Excellent leadership abilities. . Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
. Masters or PHD degree . Experience leading several multifunctional teams in an agile development environment. . Experience with international; multi-cultural team dynamics. . Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing operation. . Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments; high-mix foundry experience a plus. . Experience in comprehending and establishing tactical and strategic directions for an organization.
