Job Description Robert Half International is seeking a Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance for their IT Enterprise Shared Services Department who will Supervise QS operations globally. The Senior Manager will define and specify the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. The Manager will analyze best-in-class processes, establish customer satisfaction metrics, understand the interaction and relationship of business operations and operating systems and network processes. The successful candidate will provide mentoring, coaching, training and development of staff members and conduct effective on-going performance management for direct reports, while identifying and facilitating issue resolution with functional and technical groups. The Manager will raise issues and risks impacting deadlines, budgets or productivity to Project Lead(s) or Manager(s) as appropriate and will champion the application of quality principles in business and IT processes through training, meeting facilitation, communication programs and team building activities.
Job Duties/Requirements . Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required
. 7+ years experience in test planning, execution, and validation or application development required
. 4+ years management experience required
. Additional experience in test collaboration, application development or other related areas preferred.
. Experience in estimating and scheduling of testing activities
. Experience in software test planning, execution and validation
. Familiarity with multiple operating systems (i.e. UNIX, Windows NT, Windows 95), developer toolsets and end-user systems
. Experience with various testing tools and methods
. Experience with SQL, Perl scripting, Quick Test Professional, Quality Center, Version Manager and Tracker a plus
. Web, PeopleSoft, Accounting and/or Ops (e.g. Browsers, Mail systems) software testing experience a plus
. Experience with coding and/or code reviews preferred
. Familiarity with the overall application development life cycle
. Previous supervisory experience of test activities with employees, contractors and vendor staff
. Experience with remote personnel a plus
. Direct experience in improving processes, procedures and tool use to improve the team's quality and efficiency
. Capable of understanding expectations of assigned projects and areas of responsibility while balancing multiple priorities
. Strong analytical and problem solving ability
. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
. Excellent planning, organizing and follow-up skills
. Excellent leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring team members
. High level of integrity and a desire to work in a team environment
. Strong initiative and ability to collaborate with a variety of different peers/teams to accomplish objectives
