Job Description

Job Description

* Prototypethin films devicesat the laboratory stage anddevelop the manufacturing processesrequired to transfer them to volume production.
* Designspecialized equipmentif necessary, write process patents and make materials recommendations to design engineers to improve film and device performance, quality, and cost.
* Lead development of thin film polymer manufacturing and processing projects both internally and with outsourcing partners.
* Develop manufacturing and quality systems
* Work with product engineers to develop product designs compatible with manufacturing processes
* Work with CTO and VP of Operations todevelop and implement strategic plansfor new film product and manufacturing processes
* Work hand-in-hand with the executive team to develop and implement technical and manufacturing strategies

* PleaseDO NOT APPLYunless you have at least8 yearsof experience withfilm manufacturingandprocess development
* Extensive background working in afilm development/productionenvironment(as opposed to strictly academic experience) is mandatory for consideration
* Thin filmexperience(10 microns or less) is critical
* In-depth knowledge of global film manufacturing industry
* Proven experience in the implementation ofmanufacturing and quality systems
* Scale-upexperience migrating a process from a lab-scale to a large-volume manufacturing scale is crucial
* Must have experience in working with scientists, engineers, product marketing, and quality control personnel
* Candidates must be US Citizens or Current Green Card Holders as sponsorship will not be offered at this time
* Experience in fluoropolymer chemistry is preferred
* Experience in electro active polymer device design and manufacturing is a plus
