Summary: The Program Assistant will provide support services necessary to accomplish the mission and goals of Project Manager, Airborne Reconnaissance and Exploitation Systems (PM ARES) of the Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEWS) PM and PEO. ** This position is contingent upon contract award. **

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develops, promulgates, interprets DOD/DA/PEO/PM policy and guidance.
· Provides technical oversight of assigned program initiatives.
· Ensures effective program implementation. Responsible for planning, direction, evaluation, and success of substantial programs, systems development efforts, acquisition, and research and development technology initiatives.
· Work includes planning, programming, budgeting, scheduling, financial management execution, contracting, cost/risk analysis, engineering and/or logistics planning.
· Oversees integration of various functions such as funding, procurement, test, quality assurance, configuration management, logistics, engineering, production, transportation and/or fielding of assigned system throughout life cycle of assigned weapon system. Assignments require developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives.
· Analyzes, balances, and reconciles program requirements with available resources.
· Coordinates, integrates, presents and defends assigned programs.
· Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the client/customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree, PHD, or Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific technical discipline, 15 years of previous experience with PHD/ Masters; 20 years with Bachelors May substitute 15 years of direct relevant experience for Masters/PHD or 10 years of direct relevant experience for Bachelors (for a combined total of 30 years for education & experience.) Previous knowledge or experience with PM ARES is highly preferred.

Clearance: An Active Secret clearance is required
