Responsibilities :
The selected candidate will design and develop cutting-edge real-time 3D graphics software, products, and systems involving geospatial, volumetric, and geometric datasets fused with real-time video and meta-data. Additional tasks include user interface development and implementation of inter-process communication. Applications of the software include command and control, security and surveillance, Warfighter training, 3D modeling, medical visualization, and other related fields.
The candidate will be expected to solve complex problems, lead small teams, create technical innovations, work independently or with little supervision, and serve as a liaison internally (with technical and business development staff) and externally (with clients, prospective clients and other interested parties). The candidate must possess excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and organizational skills. The candidate must be able to apply formal systems engineering processes throughout the product development life cycle, preferably including DoD standards and conventions for requirements development and documentation.
Qualifications :
Position requires a BS or MS in CS, EE or a related discipline, with 7+ years of related work experience or university studies/research.
Required Technical Skills:
* C/C++ and multi-threaded programming experience in MS Windows (Win32) environment.
* OpenGL/Direct3D programming experience with knowledge of hardware efficient techniques and GPU programming.
* Strong mathematics and linear algebra skills as related to 3D computer graphics.
* C#/.NET GUI programming experience with Window Forms or WPF.
* C++ GUI programming experience with MFC, wxWidgets or Qt.
* Inter-process communication programming experience with at least one of WCF, SOAP, CORBA, sockets.
* Must possess excellent software engineering, communication, and presentation skills and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to rapidly growing requirements.
* Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams
* Demonstrated experience in the application of formal systems engineering processes applied to complex programs or product development life cycles, preferably including DoD standards and conventions for requirements development and documentation.
Desirable Technical Skills:
* Experience with the Python programming language.
* Experience with managed/unmanaged code interop using P/Invoke or C++/CLI.
* Familiarity with 2D imagery and 3D model file formats and compression techniques.
* Experience with digital video, image processing, computer vision, and VR technologies.
Experience with ISO and CMMI documentation and compliance is a plus.
Due to requirements for US Government contractors, this position requires US citizenship and a current Security Clearance; or the availability to obtain a Security Clearance.
