Raytheon BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA is seeking qualified Engineers or Scientists who will perform funded research, development, and operational support activities across a broad spectrum of sensing and signal processing system technologies.
They will contribute to one or more projects sponsored by the Department of Defense and the Federal Government. They will work on a team with 3-7 other technical staff to identify and solve sensing and signal processing problems.
Successful candidates will possess very strong technical skills and be highly self-motivated. They will also have a desire to develop the skills necessary to effectively contribute to a broad range of existing and future fast-paced, technically challenging programs. These programs, which advance the state of the art in sensing and signal processing by solving important customer problems, may also involve field work.
Qualifications:
* MS in Electrical Engineering, Geophysics, Acoustics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
* 0-3 years relevant work experience.
* Coursework in one or more of the following areas is required: signal and image processing; estimation, detection and tracking theory and algorithms; radar, sonar and communications systems analysis; EM, acoustic and seismic wave propagation and phenomenology; embedded computing systems, hardware and software engineering.
* Intern, co-op or research experience in one or more of the above areas is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated quantitative analysis skills, preferably using Matlab, and technical writing and publications also desired.
* REQUIRED: ability & willingness to obtain a security clearance for which the DoD requires US citizenship.
