Accountabilities:
Conduct primary and secondary research and provide analysis for strategic consulting projects. Create quantitative models to support business development and value creation efforts. Develop analyses to support both domestic and international business planning and market assessment projects. Gather information and collaborate with internal business unit personnel to further develop strategic analyses and recommendations. Communicate findings to team members and assist with creation of presentations. Participate on cross-functional teams to help implement project recommendations.
Work on business strategy projects related to investment banking, asset management, wealth management and corporate investor relations financial data and information markets in Japan.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct market research and market trends projects to understand size, opportunity and competitive forces in the financial information landscape in Japan. * Conduct market surveys and client interviews to understand how Japan based financial professionals consume financial data and how it relates to their daily workflow * Document and analyze trends and customer needs using strategic frameworks to assess business growth opportunities for Thomson Reuters * Create financial models and analyses to project growth and cost estimates for strategic initiatives. * Create presentations which analyze Japanese market environment, economy, regulatory frameworks and political frameworks to assess market entry points
Qualifications
* Fluent in Japanese (a native speaker or the same level) and English * Must demonstrate knowledge of Japanese economy and market * Undergraduate BS business degree - focus on finance, accounting or economics * More than 1-2 years experience in Finance, Accounting, or Mgmt Consulting * High level of proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
