Job Summary Reporting into the Group Managing Director, Schawk Retail Marketing,
the Senior Vice President, Account Management is responsible for
leading the account management function across Schawk Retail
Marketing (SRM). This position has strategic and day-to-day
leadership responsibility for driving the contribution and growth of
Schawk Retail Marketing?s revenue by managing the overall
relationships with the SRM client base. With a clear understanding of
client needs, the SVP will develop strategies to put in place the
right service offerings to add value and drive the clients? business
forward. In addition, this role will be responsible for the overall
financial performance of all accounts, ensuring the achievement of
budgeted profit goals. The Senior Vice President, Account
Management will be a strong business manager and strategic leader who
has the ability to proactively create winning growth strategies and
tactics for SRM?s key accounts by leveraging our suite of online and
offline promotional vehicles. This person will have a proven track
record of success in managing creative accounts and for growing
business, profitability and client satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
* Client Relationship Management & Business Development
* Own strategic account management planning for the entire SRM business center
* Develop rigorous, detailed annual account plans that delineate clear objectives, strategies and tactics for each key account
* Ensure client retention is maximized by delivering custom tailored solutions to meet clients? objectives and expectations while driving additional revenues with existing accounts
* Participate in, and lead, the development and delivery of innovative proposals to capture both account growth and new business opportunities
* Be actively engaged in increasing Schawk Retail Marketing?s industry profile through networking, public speaking, judging or other industry activities
* Stay ahead of industry trends and promote continual brand strategy improvement
* Strategic Planning
* Liaise with Corporate Marketing to implement a sales process consistent with Schawk?s Brand Point Management
* Determine client facing requirements and promote cross-selling to improve profitability and account penetration
* Work across the organization to identify and advance any opportunities to improve upon performance of client deliverables
* Financial Management
* Accountability for overall financial performance of accounts verses budget
* Ensure direct reports are clear about financial targets
* Manage assigned budget to minimize expenditures and optimally utilize resources
* Help drive the S&OP process by providing forecast data on an account-by-account basis
* Develop Annual Account Plans
* People Management & Development
* Build a top-performing account management team
* Articulate and implement an account management and sales vision
* Promote a culture of innovation, excellence, speed, flexibility and accountability
* Manage the selection, development, retention, motivation and performance management of the
* Account Management group
Qualifications / Requirements
* Strong leadership and dynamic executive presence
* Superior strategic and conceptual skills
* General Management skill set with ability to be on succession plan for President SRM role
* Bachelor?s degree with a minimum of 15 years work experience in account teams
* At least 12-15 years management experience required
* Previous responsibility for structuring and leading an Account Management organization
* Successful track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
* Ability to inform, educate and influence managers and employees to support goals and objectives
* Experience developing and managing to budgets
* Exceptional negotiation skills required, with strong background in leading and managing client RFP?s
* Ability to scan the market and competitive landscape to assess growth opportunities and risks, ultimately applying this knowledge strategically to grow key accounts
* Knowledge of account service/sales management best practices and proven ability to communicate and implement
* Superior written, verbal and presentation skills
