Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Systems Administration Assistant to provide IT systems support to the Charleston Passport Agency in Charleston, SC. Tasking will include, but will not be limited to, support of local systems backup and anti-vrus protection, patch management, and local support in areas of problem determiination and problem resolution with assistance from central technical support. The Systems Administration Assistant will work under the leadership of the local Systems Administrator.
The Systems Administration Assistant will also assist in providing local support for hardware and software migrations and upgrades, documentation of local operating procedures, and montly status reports.
Specific Duties:
Local end-user TDIS-PD application and Windows XP desktop support. Local Windows 2003 Server support including patch management, ant-virus protection, server back-up and restore activities. Local support for hardware migration Local support for software upgrade and migration Develop and maintain documentation pertaining to local operating procdures. The Computer Support Specialist must be proficient in the monitoring, use, and maintenance of the TDIS-PD system, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Inventory control of all the hardware, software, and computer peripherals for the Government; troubleshoot and relocate the workstations and/or the computer equipment, PC, and TDIS-PD related issues; and contribute in the team organization and commitment for continuous quality improvement. Work closely with the System Administrator, the Director, the Team Leaders, and the Government officials, in inventorying non-technical hardware and furniture. Ability to follow instructions and work independently on system startup and shutdown procedures, namecheck startup and shutdown procedures; recording of remedial and preventive maintenance; assist in software training; and monitor the inventory tracking of supplies. At the request of the DOS, and under the direction of the System Administrator, may be required to install standard Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software and hardware provided by the Government, and to perform minor hardware upgrades on agency PCs and NT LAN servers.
Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years directly related work experience in Windows Active Directory, Windows 2003/2000 Server, Windows XP/2000 Workstation, PC troubleshooting, and LAN/WAN support required.
Additional Requirements:
? Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment. ? Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
Preferred:
? Ability to communicate verbally (both written and oral) at a high level. Successful candidate will be required to develop local systems SOPs.
