The Rylander Technology Group Systems Engineer has the ability to perform requirements and systems analysis; architectural design; test and verification. The result must be representative of the customer’s needs developed into a process, product, or hybrid of both. The individual will have strong oral and written communication skill as well as analytical and problem solving skills. The Systems Engineer should possess strong oral and written communication, strong problem solving skill, enjoys learning and thrives in a changing environment. The candidate should be comfortable in engaging efforts requiring working in Windows (Virtual and non-Virtual) and UNIX environments. To be successful the candidate should have expert knowledge of DTW (DODISS Trusted Workstation), SABER, and Solaris experience as well as have a strong technical background in servers, system processes, application services, and storage and backup solutions
Requirements:
* Applies comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, procedures and practices. * Analyzes, design, develop, and test solutions to complex engineering problems. * Devises and executes appropriate tests to evaluate, debug and check systems. * Documents the results of complex analysis, design and testing tasks. * Participates in the design and test of moderately complex electronic digital and analog systems; assists in developing standards and techniques. * Generates engineering design documentation (pre-built/as built documentation, training, operation and maintenance documentation, etc.) * Experience with enterprise networking technologies to include VoIP. * Good working knowledge and understanding of installing and configuring Citrix XenApps software. * Good working knowledge of VMware is a plus. * Possesses expert level System Administration experience supporting Solaris 10 Operating System, Trusted Extensions (TX) package, and Sun Ray Session Server (SRSS). * Strong ability in creating and configuring labeled zones and labeled zone schemes. * Possesses expert level Solaris 10 TX and Sun Ray thin client administration. * Experience in using and configuring auditing systems for tracking user activities. * Perform basic Solaris network configuration tasks * Configure networking between Solaris Trusted Extensions systems and other labeled and unlabeled systems. * Display an understanding of data separation requirements in high-security environments.
