Job Description
This position is accountable to manage and coordinate all necessary Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) system maintenance and reporting for assigned facilities and/or processes in order to support the Supply Chain and distribution processes within the Intermountain system. This position is part of an empowered work team and is expected to function with minimal supervision. The incumbent will work and communicate directly with all levels of Intermountain Healthcare personnel.
Job Essentials:
Perform local MMIS maintenance per corporate standards, which includes: performing and monitoring database maintenance, and reviewing maintenance reports
Coordinate the MMIS system and ancillary tools insuring that distribution, inventory, receiving and departmental files and reports are generated and retained in accordance with Auditing and Accounting policies
Measures and assesses MMIS processes for assigned dept and/or facility for compliance to policy and standard operating procedures
Provides ongoing training and support on all Supply Chain IT tools; Supports implementation of new tools and processes for assigned departments and/or facilities
Research and resolve MMIS related problems for assigned facilities and teams and coordinates with Central Supply Chain Systems and Information team as needed
Reviews MMIS day-end and month-end reports for assigned locations; Responsible for balancing all asset accounts with the GL; Responsible to resolve and explain all discrepancies
Facilitates physical inventory and cycle counts, and other inventory management activities for assigned facilities
Supports implementation and training of new systems releases or upgrades for assigned facilities and/or teams; Assists with Beta testing as needed
Provides statistics, analysis and ad hoc reports as needed; Capable of writing advance queries; Proactively perceives data analysis needs
Capable of managing entire project scope including coordination between departments, facility and corporate entities
Participates on various teams including system-wide teams; Travels as required to participate on teams and to meet the needs of assigned facilities
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree -OR- four years experience in a role working directly with Supply Chain systems or within materials management; Degree is verified and must be obtained through an accredited institution
Four years of experience using word processing, spreadsheet, databases and presentations
One year of hands-on experience working with Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS)
One year of hands-on experience with AS400, SQL and e-commerce query language
One year experience in a role requiring the application of analytical skills
One year of experience demonstrating a working knowledge of healthcare supply chain fundamentals and a demonstrated understanding of programming principles/philosophy
One year of experience in a role requiring an advanced knowledge of general accounting principles including balancing, statistics, budgeting, and general ledger transactions
Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to teach and train others
