Job Description: AsTax Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Tax and Vice President of Tax on all global tax related activities for Vistaprint including the worldwide provision process and the implementation of tax reduction strategies. In addition, you will assist in the development and implementation of the tax infrastructure related to federal, state, local and international tax reporting and the coordination of global tax compliance. You will also assist in the research of tax laws and methods to recommend ways to minimize taxation through the use of tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities: * Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC740 (FAS 109) and related financial statement disclosures for federal, state and international jurisdictions * Document FIN 48 Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes under supervision of Director of Tax * Prepare quarterly global tax rate forecast and present analytics to Director of Tax and senior management team * Responsible for the maintenance of SOX404 documentation * Identify, research, and evaluate tax issues in federal, state and international tax (US inbound/outbound and local country taxes) * Interpret new law changes and its impact on tax positions of the Company * Assist Director of Tax and Vice President, Corporate Tax with special projects including federal, state and international tax planning * Preparation and review of federal, state and local income tax compliance * Advise local controllers and operations teams on technical matters associated with local Sales, GST and VAT taxes * Manage tax audits as needed
Skills and Qualifications: * 5-7 years experience with a public company and/or public accounting experience with a Big 4 or similar accounting firm * Experience with tax provision work for multi-national companies * Strong accounting skills – Bachelor of Science in Accounting, MST and CPA is required * Strong general tax knowledge of U.S. and state tax law (international experience is a plus) * Strong research, analytical and communication skills (written and verbal) * Solid interpersonal skills – able to interact in a team environment within the Company and with outside advisors and auditors
