Overview:
The Lead for Content Engineering is the primary technical resource on the Content Engineering team. The Lead works very closely with the Sr. Manager of Content Engineering to define and build scalable solutions for . The Lead collaborates with Marketing, Design, Product Management, User Experience & other development teams to design and deliver a rich experience customers expect when shopping with Macy's. In addition to developing rich, engaging content and features, the Content Integration Developer provides solutions to integrate rich content and media solutions for significant scalability.
Key Accountabilities:
Expert level developer in presentation tier integrations within J2EE environment, including JSP/JSTL, Tiles, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and ActionScript.
Organize and develop integrations with internal and third party APIs and web-services for things such as social networking, functional mashups and partner integrations using both Flash and HTML.
Analyze proposed, third party integrations from a security and performance perspective.
Support rollout and continued use of a centralized, tag-management system. Create integration templates and libraries for reuse by Content Engineering team and other development teams across . Develop strategies to help optimize site performance and third-party integrations.
Work with various business teams across with organization in helping strengthen our site integration pipeline management, workflow and deployment processes.
Partner with the Site Support and Operations groups in supporting site integrations within the production environment.
Develop standards for integrating analytics within ActionScript and JavaScript.
Skills Summary:
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical, prioritization, negotiation, and project management skills. Strong attention to detail. Experience in deploying enterprise web analytics tools such as Adobe Omniture, IBM CoreMetrics, WebTrends, etc.
Prior professional internet work experience within a front-end development team, preferably on a large e-commerce site.
Experience in working within an Agile development environment.
Understanding of internet topology and client side delivery performance.
Working knowledge of PC, UNIX, and Mac environments
Strong understanding of web technology trends.
Articulate - able to communicate effectively across various functional disciplines.
Proven ability to write clearly and persuasively.
Must be creative, resourceful, decisive, and resilient; all the time using good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
