This position is working in Afghanistan.
Seeking a Field Service Technician to provide comprehensive C4ISR equipment Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the US Marine Corps.
Provides Tier I and II support at remote field and garrison sites. Can perform server and desktop installation, basic cabling. Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions. Capable of running an entire remote site by themselves with demanding customers in austere or garrison locations. Must be cable to load cryptographic keys and perform troubleshooting on many types of hardware and software.
Will provide the following services to include, but not limited to: * Network, system installation and operations, and maintenance functions of hardware. * Software integration * Site surveys * Make recommendations to the hardware and/or software configurations * Operate automated diagnostics systems and interpret findings for the Biometrics System consisting of three tiers: the BAT-Client, the BAT-Server and the HIIDE. The BAT-Client will collect and store biometric information, to include fingerprints, iris scans and facial images, and will be able to “match” personnel whose biometrics corresponds to a record in its stored data. The HIIDE, an untethered, handheld device, is capable of collecting, matching, and storing biometrics. The HIIDE can download to, and be updated by the BAT-Client. Information from networked BAT-Clients will be sent to BAT-Servers. The BAT-Servers will update other BAT-Servers and will provide information to the biometrics intelligence process for further analysis. Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and three years of related experience. * Field Service Technicians will have all applicable operating systems certifications required for the server and storage hardware that is part of the current operational baseline. * A minimum of 3 years relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems is required. * Ability to deploy to support USMC. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Security+ or higher IA certification. * USMC experience is preferred.
Clearance requirement: Eligible for Top Secret clearance; a Background Investigation/Period Review required in the last five years. An active clearance in the last two years preferred. Must be able to attain or have previously held SCI. Apply for this job:
