Writer/Editor
GP's Baton Rouge, LA office has an immediate need for technical writers/editors to write/edit procedures, training, and technical documents.
Job duties, responsibilities, and requirements include:
* Write/edit online and instructor led training materials based on existing materials
* Collaborate with team members to meet customer quality and schedule goals
* Write/edit narratives, descriptive graphics, audio scripts, and storyboards for blended training based on existing materials
* Write/edit operations, maintenance, and program procedures based on existing materials
* Write/edit training assessments based on existing materials
* Track documents through a production process, include revision tracking
* Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
* 0-5 years graphic design experience
* Excellent use and comprehension of English language
* Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office products
* Experience with web applications, learning management systems, and various web-based training products and platforms is beneficial
* Experience in writing, document editing, or related skills
* Experience writing instructional or technical documents and presentations
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and meet deadlines
* Ability to work with and drive to completion multi-step processes
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Attentive to detail, quality-focused, flexible, and deadline-oriented
* Ability to Work onsite at secure locations, including locations that require Transportation Worker Identification Credentials
Educational Requirements:
Associate's degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
