Trade Compliance OfficerTrade Compliance OfficerTracking Code20110452Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position has management responsibility for trade compliance activities, encompassing both exports and imports, for Securaplane Technologies, Inc. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Export Compliance (75%): * Create and launch import/export compliance procedures company-wide * Supervise, manage and maintain the Trade Compliance function, including the work of the trade compliance administrator * Draft and submit detailed licensing agreements (such as TAAs) under the ITAR to the U.S. Department of State * Develop and implement training on government laws and regulations, as well as company's policies and procedures, to all employees and other stake holders * Ensure that all applicable products are classified for export and import in accordance with regulations of the United States * Produce, review, analyze and publish Trade Compliance process measurements for the site * Direct the company in proper adherence to ITAR controls and related visitor policies * Identify potential areas of import/export compliance vulnerability and risks * Work closely with Meggitt Trade Compliance officials in maintaining compliance to industry best practices, in the spirit of continuous improvement Other Quality Assurance Functions (25%): * Provide backup support to Quality Assurance functions such as document control, supplier development, and contract review RELATIONSHIPS: * Internal employees at all levels for training and audits on compliance issues * External with FAA, State Department, and other governmental authorities as necessary * External with customers, Meggitt Corporate, shippers, freight forwarders, etc. MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE * Timeliness and accuracy of all required forms, licenses, procedures, etc. * Ability to keep abreast of current best practices and emerging issues * Customer satisfaction with shipping of export items and OTD and PPV measurements as applicable * Export classifications maintained and organizedBACKGROUND AND SKILL * Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field * 5 years of experience as a Trade Compliance Officer or comparable position * Working knowledge of the ITAR and EAR * Experience developing and managing trade compliance processes and procedures * 2 years minimum experience with electronics and circuit boards preferred * Fluency with MS Office applications and ERP systems PERSONAL TRAIT PROFILE: * Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships * Effective oral and written communications in the English language * Excellent multi-tasking skills * Self motivated * Honest with high ethical standards SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Position has a direct impact on profitability because of the strict requirements for import, export and FAA compliance related to the shipping activities of our productsJob LocationTucson, AZ USPosition TypeFull-Time/RegularSalary55,000.00 - 65,000.00 USD
