Vice President/Director Business Development DC / Virginia
Our client, a highly regarded Relocation and Real Estate organization dedicated to providing outstanding service to the Government and Corporate sector is searching for a Vice President/Director Business Development. This position will hold the Leadership responsibility and coordination of RE/MAX Allegiance sales and marketing functions, focusing on federal agencies and corporate accounts. Develops and implements company sales and marketing strategy. The VP/Director is responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and maintenance of existing accounts. Represents the company at trade shows and conferences. This role may manage teams and/or individuals performing related work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Marketing: · Develop, coordinate and maintain company marketing and sales strategy. Responsible for implementation and tracking of success of strategy. · Development of corporate brand. · Manage the design and development of marketing materials including brochures, handouts, displays, etc. · Provide direction and leadership on development and enhancement of company website. · Research and develop strategies that would identify potential marketing opportunities and/or industry insertion. · Maintains databases for government, NGO and corporate targets for potential business opportunities. · Analyzes the effectiveness of sales and marketing methods, costs and results.
Sales: · Represent company at various community, business meetings, trade shows and conferences to promote company services and to develop relationships with potential clients and business partners. · Establish short and long term sales goals and objectives. · Leads and/or assists in the negotiation of new and/or renewing sales contracts with potential and existing clients. Responsible for administration of contracts. · Responds to Request for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Quotations (RFQ). · Maintain relationships with existing clients, responding to inquires and servicing needs.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Marketing or Communications background strongly desired. Minimum 5-7 years of marketing experience to include development of corporate strategies and advertising campaigns directed to a broad customer base. Minimum 3-5 years of corporate sales experience; sales of professional services to government and corporate entities preferred. Management of corporate sales and marketing activities strongly preferred.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS- continued
Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting marketing plans and sales presentations. Demonstrated experience in producing creative, high quality written materials, often within tight timeframes. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, clients and business partners. Focused and self motivated with ability to formulate direction and strategy highly desired. General office computer skills required; familiarity with MS Office, including MS Word and Excel highly desired. Availability for local and overnight travel. Willingness to work a flexible schedule strongly preferred.
