The VP, Director of Data Analytics and Marketing Planning is responsiblefor overseeing the design, development and production of analysis and reporting projects. This position will serve as the agency expert on campaign performance data, metrics and reporting and will develop insightful analysis to help drive the improvement of client marketing programs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to following: · Work with cross-functional team - account services, media agencies, project management- to support the design, development and production of web and direct response analytics reporting and analysis. · Manage Data Analytics team and become established, for client and account services, as the in-house expert on all data relevant to client campaign performance. · Partner with account services to fully understand marketing goals and test objectives. · Devise growth plan for function with the agency and create vision for the future development of the department. · Analyze multiple sources of data to determine and make recommendations on interactive and direct response media planning and buying decisions. · Work with agency department leaders to ensure CDMi competitive advantage. · Partner with other disciplines to maintain repository of knowledge on industry opportunities. · Develop a forecast model including ROI. · Apply emerging technologies to enable proficient tracking and reporting. · Cost out and evaluate media plan alternatives, and write media plan recommendations. · Initiate and analyze research needed to develop and implement media strategies. · Maintain contact with client to fortify the Agency and client relationships. · New business and special research projects.
REQUIREMENTS: · 10+ years experience developing and managing analytics and reporting projects involving internal resources, vendors, and clients. · Advertising agency experience is strong preferred. · Capable of building relationships with clients at a senior level and the ability to build their trust to help to navigate their thinking. · Expertise in how to project and achieve client performance metrics. · Experience in dealing with direct marketing initiatives (i.e. purchasing and evaluating media on a cost-per-lead basis), media planning, strategy, buying and optimization are required. · Possess working media knowledge across multiple media channels including but no limited to DRTV, print, direct mail, OOH, and emerging media. · Experience analyzing data or market research from internal (i.e. goals established by analytic team/account service) and external sources (i.e. from client, third-party research, etc.). · Strong understanding of search engine marketing. · Excellent presentation skills with strong verbal and written communications. · Organized, analytical and detail-oriented. · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
