Vice President, Gas Operations
This position has primary responsibility for the planning, operations and control of the gas operations system. This entails the planning and directing of all activities related to gas supply and control, storage, utilization, service, distribution, construction, maintenance, engineering and sales. The position will also assist the Senior Vice President, Operations develop the organization’s short and long-range plans and, in turn, develop and implement business unit objectives that are aligned with and support the strategic and tactical goals of the Company. This position establishes the direction of the system infrastructure strategy and operating philosophy including development of safe operating procedures and work practices that are consistent with industry best practice’s, drive continuous improvement and exceed regulatory and customer expectations. The position will work with subordinate positions to instill a philosophy of ownership and accountability for outcomes and a high level of productivity and quality of work.
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires extensive knowledge of the design, engineering, operations and maintenance of gas delivery and distribution infrastructure, as well as a thorough understanding of emerging issues within the gas industry. Also requires excellent written, oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
Education: Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline. MS in Engineering or MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of fifteen (15) years of increasing responsibility in managing gas distribution functions. Experience working with all levels of an organization including Senior Management
