Our NA Marketing organization is responsible for fueling growth through continued acceleration of small business and consumer customer acquisition, managing the segmentation and life-cycle of existing customers and building the overall Vistaprint brand. Specifically, the organization is responsible for attracting and retaining our customers, managing our marketing channels, customer insight, driving the experience and creating & promoting our products.
Position
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the NA Business Unit, the Vice President, Marketing is responsible for attracting new customers, managing external marketing channels and developing a portfolio of printed and electronic products. S/he will lead a world-class marketing team of 35 marketing managers, analysts and product marketers who are experts at managing and growing channel & product performance, continuously testing new offers and creative, optimizing landing page and site performance and refining metrics to return the best ROI. In partnership with our marketing communications group, the VP of Marketing will lead external marketing strategy & execution to support greater brand enhancement.
Key responsibilities include the following areas:
* Develop and evolve our multi-channel strategy to maintain high percentage growth on a growing and substantial base of customers * Attract, develop and motivate a team of exceptional acquisition marketing managers, product marketers and analysts * Evolve our acquisition strategy to a Long-Term Customer Value- based approach * Direct responsibility for delivery of agreed upon new customer revenue goals including search, affiliate, online, email and offline direct, and broadcast marketing programs. Track and report on revenue goals weekly, changing tactics as needed to ensure results and managing spend across programs to deliver the maximum return from all resources. * Drive successful creation & adoption of new products into the North American marketplace * Ensure that rapid testing and learning are conducted in a systematic way to promote critical breakthroughs * Develop test and scale new acquisition channels and partnerships that deliver a positive ROI. * Partner effectively with internal teams (for example: global product and marketing communications in order to efficiently implement new channels and capabilities * Act as key leader in the NA Marketing organization by providing strategic insights and recommendations that contribute to the overall achievement of Vistaprint's business and financial objectives
Person
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) years professional experience in running sizable marketing organizations (20+ people) with an outstanding educational background, superior track record delivering new customers through online and broadcast channels, expertise leveraging analytics to support online/database marketing programs and experience leading product marketing.
The Vice President, Marketing will have a well-rounded leadership and management background, including:
* Proven track record of managing marketing teams that have driven double digit customer acquisition growth * Extensive experience with broadcast marketing (television & radio) online direct marketing (search, affiliate, online, email) as well as offline direct marketing channels. * Previous P&L experience required * Experience leveraging test protocols (A/B, Split-run, etc) to optimize campaigns/channels * Experience leading product marketing and analytics teams * Bachelor's degree in related field (economics, statistics, marketing, business, etc) preferred. An MBA or Master's degree is plus
