A leading telecommunications company with a location in Central Florida is actively searching for a Vice President of Engineering to lead the engineering team. This position requires extensive experience in advanced mobile intelligence communications systems. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
-> Manages the overall Engineering Department including Project Engineering, System Engineering, Design & Drafting, Research and Development, and Technical Publications and Training
-> Directs the establishment and administration of a Company-wide research, design and development program to insure competitive leadership in the field of advanced radio telecommunications
-> Directs the implementation of all engineering projects and processes
-> Develops and manages marketing operating budget
-> Develops engineering guidelines and processes
-> Advises the General Manager on the status of the engineering for all projects and coordinates with program management, manufacturing, and contracts in insuring on-time delivery of equipment and services to customers
Requirements:
-> Must have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer, Master preferred
-> Fifteen or more years of Telecommunications Engineering Management in positions exhibiting progressively more complex systems and equipment
-> International trades experience a must. Preference will be given to candidates who are have worked with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)compliance
-> Must have 6 or more years of experience with two or more of the following. Toposcatter Equipment and Systems, Line-Of-Site Microwave Equipment and Systems, VSAT Systems and Equipment or Field and Vehicle mounted Systems and Equipment
-> Field experience in Engineering is also required
