This executive position is accountable for the successful execution, operations and production of all lines of business to include trade shows, events and custom exhibits.
The VP will establish the structure, controls, systems, and production standards for: warehouse, fabrication, graphics production, transportation, logistics, and inventory, equipment assets, props, vehicle and equipment maintenance.As well as, responsiblefor all show site, event and exhibit operations and productions, project planning and management, labor management, logistics and transportation.
The VP will be accountable for the logistics and movement of all resources, freight, equipment, materials and people to all events and trade shows nationwide.
The VP will be accountable for the budgets associated with the operations and productions functions of all lines of business.
The VP will serve as a member of the executive team and participate in the overall corporate planning and report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities/Duties * Direct and manage the people, resources and equipment for fabrications, warehouse, graphics, inventory, props, transportations, trucks and equipment maintenance, etc. * Direct and manage the people, resources and equipment of show site operations, planning, logistics, and freight, etc. * Plan and execution of all shows, events, exhibits nationwide. * Develop and manage a national resource and logistic plan for all equipment and resources * Direct and supervise of direct reports to include Directors of Production, Operations, and other appropriate operations managers and directors * Develop and manage short-term and long-range budgets and plans for both corporate and event specific as it relates to operations and productions.Develop cost saving standards and plans to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency while maintaining quality and customer expectations. * Accountable for efficiency and productivity at all levels and locations including headquarters, satellite offices, facilities, and show sites * Ensure effective communication and coordination with all other departments, such as: account management, sales, estimating, design and finance * Directly responsible for labor negotiations and collective bargaining agreements as needed to maintain productive working relationships and national labor-force availability * Responsible for recruiting, training, rewarding and retaining a reliable, service-oriented workforce including management, technicians, craftsmen and laborers * Accountable for labor and material allocations, as well as capital expenditures necessary for ongoing improvements in operations and production * Accountable movement of all resources to include equipment, materials and labor nationally to ensure optimum efficiency and planning * Responsible for the inventory, management, and retrieval of all Hargrove own equipment and materials as well as client owned materials. * Responsible for improving efficiency and optimizing workflow, production and operations company-wide * Ensure continuous improvements by staying informed of the latestmarketplace and industry practices including technology trends and how they relate to the current industry * Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary under the direction of the manager. Required Skills * Ability to work in a high pressured, fast-paced environment * Expertise in workflow, production and operations including labor, materials, industry trends and operations * Ability to function and excel in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment * Strong interpersonal skills linking front-office and back-office operations * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Proficiency in all Microsoft® Professional applications Required Experience * 5 years of executive-level experience in the trade show and exposition industry or equivalent Required Education * Bachelorâ?Ts Degree in Business Administration, Event Management or other related field. Details INTER-RELATIONSHIPS Persons in this position interface regularly with the CEO,Executive Vice President, Director of Production.Additionally this person will have contact with Sales Executives, Account Managers, Managers,Supervisors and Administrative Coordinators throughout the company in effort to ensure the completion of all assigned tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS Most of the position holderâ?Ts work will take place in the normal office environment.However the surroundings can be chaotic, high energy, and presents less than favorable working conditions (i.e. noisy, high traffic volumes). Position sometimes requires long hours and travel.
