The Vice President of Program Management will report to a Senior Vice President in Technology. The Senior Vice President reports to the Practice Leader of the Technology Services Group(TSG). The Practice Leader reports to the Executive Vice President of Technology. The Executive Vice President reports to the Chief Technology Officer for the global SymphonyIRI organization.
Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Program Management will occupy a position central to SymphonyIRI's continued growth, on-going strategy and vision to transform the way SYMPHONY IRI clients do business. As the economy emerges from crisis, it is clear that consumer behavior will be significantly altered. Areas such as Shopper Marketing and Customer Loyalty are now, more than ever, the cornerstones upon which retailers and Consumer Products Goods(CPG) manufacturers are building their go-to-market strategies. SymphonyIRI is leading the way when it comes to understanding Consumer Loyalty. The Vice President will "own" the program for SymphonyIRI's revolutionary Loyalty Advantage suite of solutions. Loyalty Advantage is built on the IRI Liquid Data(ILD) is a proprietary platform that integratesSymphonyIRIand partner data across all categories into a single database, placing a powerful analytic interface into the hands of the user thereby enabling "live" analysis and insights without delays, incremental costs or customization cycle.
Initially, the Vice President will focus on Program Management in support of one ofSymphonyIRI's premier retail clients. This will involve managing the full program through to user acceptance. Upon acceptance, the Vice President will be tasked with the program leadership for Loyalty Advantage initiatives that will roll out to the broaderSymphonyIRIretail client base. While activities will vary, approximately 1/3 of his/her time will be allocated to managing project scope and project resources, 1/3 will be allocated to establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to their external and internal clients and 1/3 will be spent managing and coordinating complex cross-functional teams of on-shore and off-shore resources.
Collaborating across internal ITI functions will be essential to his/her success. Key points of internal interface include: the broader Technology organization(inclusive of Modeling and System Engineering), Retail Client Solutions, Shopper Engineering, Modeling & Analytic Solutions and Consumer & Shopper Insights.
Externally, the Vice President will work at all levels across the functions of Marketing, Information Technology and Finance.
The Vice President will drive programs that are leading the way with regards to helpingSymphonyIRIclients understand the new consumer landscape in meaningful and actionable ways. Other Responsibilities: · Serve as a key member of the Consulting Services team during application sales cycles · Assess customers' business requirements and map them to ILD processes and solutions · Estimate and manage project scope, price, schedules, timelines and resource costs · Resolve project issues on a timely and cost effective basis while continuing to deliver project on time/budget · Assess complex client change management issues and make recommendations · Establish confidence with the project team and support staff through the effective delegation of responsibilities to consultants and the development of effective project guidelines and plans · Transition knowledge gained through implementations back toSymphonyIRIproduct and support teams · Facilitate the tracking of benefits and improvements through the client implementation Required Experience: * 7-10 years of extensive experience in large-scale business systems integration, software development and software implementation. * Experience managing enterprise software implementations for Big Five, large software vendor, or similar experience. * Strong client poise, presence and relevance across all client levels and functions * Demonstrated operational discipline * Ability to travel extensively * The ideal location for this position is in Chicago, Illinois. Other locations are workable so long as they are close to a major metropolitan airport * BA/BS in Business, Computer Science or similar field required; MBA desired; PMI Certification desired
