Job Description:
Vistaprint (– NASDAQ: VPRT) is the small business marketing company that has served over 19 million customers world-wide. Through their use of proprietary Internet-based graphic design software, proprietary order receiving and processing technologies and advanced computer integrated production facilities; they offer a meaningful economic advantage relative to traditional graphic design and printing methods. Vistaprint’s unique technology and value proposition has allowed them to successfully penetrate the large, fragmented, geographically dispersed and underserved small business and consumer markets.
The Position
As a key leader within Vistaprint’s global organization, the Vice President, Corporate Finance will be responsible for managing the global accounting, treasury, financial systems, internal audit and external reporting functions as well international controllership of a high growth multinational company with annual revenue of approximately $700 million and operations in ten countries. This person will report to the CFO and manage a team of 40+ people. Direct reports include; an Assistant Controller; Sr. Manager, Financial Systems; Manager, Treasury; Director, Internal Audit and 3 Site (International) Controllers. Given the strategic importance of this role, it is expected the VP, Corporate Finance will have substantial interaction with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors and global executive team. Key responsibilities of the Corporate Finance group include:
* Ensure world-class accounting monthly close and financial reporting operations focused on accuracy and timeliness. This includes instilling a culture of continuous improvement allowing the company to stay ahead of the curve in terms of developing GAAP/IFRS and its impact on accounting and financial reporting while scaling the financial operations in line with business growth. Oversee all operational accounting functions such as accounts payable, equity administration and accounting, accounts receivable, etc. * Direct the external reporting function, including all SEC filings, to create value-add presentation, disclosure and discussion of the Vistaprint business trends and financial results in a manner that is informative to investor’s and responsive to SEC guidelines. * Oversee the company’s developing treasury operations including cash management (multiple operating subsidiaries and 15 currencies), risk management and insurance programs, foreign exchange management and hedging. This also includes working with outside cash managers to manage the company’s short-term investment portfolio and management of payment processors (virtual “cash register”), ensuring stability and optimization. * Oversee and help develop the company’s effectiveness at leveraging recently implemented financial systems (SAP) including financial, purchasing and manufacturing applications. * Management and development of internal function which also reports the company’s audit committee. This function currently focuses on SOX compliance, but is in the process of growing into a more fully operational internal audit function with a focus on controls and operational efficiency in the finance function. * Special business development projects such as mergers and acquisitions: deal evaluation, structure, purchase accounting and due diligence. The Person The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of progressive financial management experience in high growth, multi-national companies that have reached at least $500M in annual revenues. The person’s background should include core competencies in GAAP/IFRS accounting, SEC reporting, financial systems management, corporate treasury and financial planning and corporate development (M&A).
In conjunction with their broad and extensive financial leadership, the person we seek is a passionate and highly accomplished leader of people. They should have experience leading global finance organizations of 50+ people with a demonstrated a track record of developing and mentoring a senior group of direct reports.
The Vice President, Corporate Finance will have a well-rounded leadership and management background that includes:
* Public company SEC reporting experience including SOX 404 internal controls certification experience * Extensive multi-national experience is a must have as Vistaprint is a Dutch incorporated company and has more assets and operations located internationally than domestically * Strongly prefer experience within both technology and high volume manufacturing environments * Experience managing through domestic and international audits * Strong communications skills and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (across operating functions and geographic locations) and with Senior Management and Board of Directors * A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related degree is required. Masters level education and a CPA are highly preferred
